Parade of Lights

The Friday after Thanksgiving was a beautiful day...65 degrees and sunny.  Daddy got our Christmas lights on the house.  We are not usually so prompt in getting them up but it was too nice not to.  That evening Tyler, Grandpa and I headed to Downtown Washington for the Holiday Parade of Lights.

Downtown was packed with parade watchers.

While we waited Tyler played games on the iPhone.

Don't you love the hat?

Then came the parade highlight - the St. Peter's UCC Lawn Chair Brigade.  Every church has one, right?  Leading the way was no other than Tyler's GG, Great Great Aunt Nancy, Great Aunt Patty, Great Aunt Susan, Cousin Zach, Grandma, and other member of the church gang.  They were quite the hit and had a routine they did with their lit up lawn chairs.  Who thinks of this stuff?

Great Aunt Sandy and cousins Krista and Anna drove the Paint n Place truck with the music.  They look pretty excited, eh?

The lawn chair brigade is a parade classic...in my opinion. :)

There they go...in not so perfect formation.

Tyler loved the lights, fire trucks, and Santa.  We often had to hold him back from running out into the street.
