Easter Egg #3

I know, I know - I am so far behind.  How did we get to May 9th already?  This last week has been a blur and the dark circles under my eyes are due to allergies and sick kiddos (more on later).  Hopefully we are on the mend and all three boys are sleeping as I type this.  Let's see if I can make it to the end of this post with that still the case. :)

I am confident Tyler and Nathan enjoyed this Easter Egg hunt the most.  My mom and day host the annual Easter Egg Hunt in the dark!  The boys were ready with their headlights so they could carry their baskets and pick up eggs.

Warning: lots of pictures!

Out the door!

Stu and Barb's niece, Sophie, joined us for the kid hunt which was restricted to the front yard.  The back and side yards were for the adults.  Yes, the adults hunt and it gets intense.

Nathan didn't want to stop for a photo.  He wanted to keep hunting.

Checking out their loot!

Seriously, this kid just has cuteness written all over him.  (I might be a bit biased.)

His light was still on and he wanted to keep it on.  It was a bit bright when he looked at you.

Barb's sister, Mary, enjoyed cuddling Grant.

Poor Barb got spit up all over by Grant a few minutes later.  My mom gave Grant his first 4 ounces of formula while we were on the Easter Eve scavenger hunt and apparently it didn't sit well.  Sorry, Barb!

Apparently the prize was one that several hunters wanted.

My grandpas solving the world's problems.

Some of the crew!

Why do you keep taking my picture?

Grandma passing out prizes.
My mom put together 22 dozen eggs with candy, money and 120 prizes that she and everyone bring.  It is the big daddy of egg hunts!

Tyler and I lined up all their #s which correspond to prizes and I think Tyler and Nathan took home about 1/3 of the prizes.  Tyler just kept jumping up "That's mine!"

So proud of his prize!

Jeanne displaying her Airgas golf towel...lucky her!

Jeff was mocking an unnamed individuals catching ability.

Nathan was so tickled by the head massager.

The boys were up until 9:30 which is VERY late for our house but it was worth it for the amount of fun we had.

By the way, Tyler is the only one awake as I finish up this post!  I might be able to get some laundry folded now too!  Yippee!

Easter Egg Hunt #2

We attended the same Easter egg hunt we have for the past 3 years now!  It has been come an Easter tradition.
2013 can be seen here.
2012 seen here
and 2011 here

We skipped the carnival and just went for the egg hunt.
Tyler's field before the hunt grabbing started.  Let's be honest - not much hunting to it.

As Tyler grows he gets skinnier and he constantly needs a belt.  A four year old and belts just don't mix that well so his underwear shows often.

Three in his hand at one time!

Tyler took his egg gathering pretty seriously this year.  His basket was overflowing so he stopped.

Thanks to my dad for documenting Tyler's side of the event with his camera!

This was my view of Tyler across the street.  A huge thanks to my dad for coming with us since the boys hunt on different fields due to the age divisions.  Also, thanks to my mom for watching Grant while we played.  Next year the three boys will be on three different egg hunting fields.  I think I will just be preparing myself for sports seasons of three of them playing at once!

Nathan waited pretty patiently before the hunt.  He did see someone driving around a Polaris and told me "no find egg - ride Paris."  PoPo was excited to hear this news.  Nevertheless, I said no to asking the event worker if my 2 year old could ride the "paris" and he participated in the egg hunt grab.

Nathan wanted to shake each one and see if there was candy in it.

He would pick out a color and try to get several of those.  "I get geen ones."  Whatever floats you boat, Nathan!

Comparing their hauls.
Tyler was nice and gave Nathan a few of his because Nathan didn't pick up nearly as many as he did.

Most of the eggs had candy in them and the boys collected about 15-20 eggs that had slips of paper for prizes in them.  The line was far too long for me to wait in for a free ice cream cone coupon so I handed it to a dad behind me with a little girl and said "Happy Easter."  My boys got what we came for - a fun egg find and a few pieces of candy.

Random April photos

I have a whole lot of random photos to share.  These are not in any particular order.

Okay, I think this photo was actually from March - Grant was watching the NCAA basketball tournament.

We went out to eat one Friday night and this sweet little girl out ate everyone.  My dad even took food away from her...which I have NEVER seen him do...for ANYONE!

These three snuggled up watching morning cartoons

Story time at the library was all about food and this was the craft.  Nathan didn't want to take his pizza off to get into the car seat of the car...that was fun!

This guy loves to drink the milk out of his cereal bowl.

Grant is content watching meal time from his high chair these days.

Grant loves this little driver, sing songy toy.  It is fun now that he is starting to play with toys. I am not sure how thrilled his brothers will be when he starts moving and getting into their stuff.

A car load of kiddos at Sonic waiting for our slushes.

Grant is such a happy baby...allergies or maybe just tired and rubbing his eyes and all.

These two are really playing well together lately; even sharing toys in the tub!

My Cardinal hat is a bit too big still but will be perfect this summer.

Ready for Cardinal Day at pre-school.

Nathan had to wear a Cardinal sweatshirt too - just like Tyler.  Notice his umbrella - Tyler got in trouble for swinging it around and Nathan sucked it right up and wouldn't let go.

Our own little baseball team!

Grant loves his Bumbo!  The tray helps keep him occupied with some toys for about 30 seconds before he knocks them all off.

Another bath photo - this night they were using the bubbles to make beards (that was at least what they were attempting to do) and pretending to be Santa.

Messy.

Neat.

Teething.

This has started.
Nathan likes to go potty when Tyler has to go potty and almost always before bath time.  I really should work with him to get it down since he is interested.  I just haven't geared myself up for it yet.

We were doing some random shopping and the boys were troopers so I let them pick where they wanted to eat.  Seriously...McDonalds?  Nathan obviously enjoyed it.

Biggest baby hands EVER!  So sweet though.  Doesn't he have the most perfect lips?

Nathan selfie.

Grant grew out of his baby bath tub some time ago and has been chillin' in this seat in the tub for some time now.

Have I mentioned what a messy eater Nathan is.  It is usually just easier to undress him to eat that it is to try and keep him clean.

Okay, this post is long enough...still plenty of random photos left for another post later on.

Grant tries cereal!

The day after Grant turned 5 months old, I thought we would give cereal a try.  Grant often sits on my lap during meals and is always grabbing at my utensils and constantly watches his brothers take their spoon/fork from their plates to their mouths.  I thought he was ready for his turn.

He was intrigued by the new texture and I would say he was able to keep about half of the cereal we put in his mouth.  I considered it a success!

A few days later we gave it another go.

He thought he was ready to try it himself...I am not giving up that control yet.  I am pretty confident he would simply gag himself with the spoon.

Overall, this is how Grant feels about trying his new food.

I haven't geared up to making his baby food yet but know it is coming soon.  How did this cutie get ready for baby food so fast?
