Fun at the Fair

The Washington Town & Country Fair is an annual event that we have been going to since we could walk.  It is no exception for our boys.  They braved the heat to have a little fun.

Tyler was not impressed with this ride before it started moving.

A little better...

It is a bit hot out here to ride this little train...

Daddy had the day off to spend with us too!  Nathan and Daddy stayed in the shade and tried to stay cool.

On to Agriland - Tyler's favorite!

Talking through some scenario.  I love his imagination!

A little corn mixed with sweat. :)

A bit of fair food and we were headed home to cool off and take naps!  Have I ever said how much I love that my boys currently nap at the same time - usually for at least 2 hours!

Future All-Stars

Nathan is like most younger siblings who love to watch and attempt to immulate their older siblings.  Shooting hoops is just one of the things I hope to watch our boys do together in the future.

Nathan enjoying a bit of hoop time, compliments of his Bumbo seat.  He loved that his hoop makes noise when he pulls on the rim.  As you can see, he missed the coaching session we had about putting the ball through the hoop.

This is picure perfect form for a 4 month-old, don't you think?  It will be fun to show this photo at his Senior Night for high school or even college basketball.  We start 'em young at the Francis household. ;)

I couldn't leave Tyler out.  We have a similar photo for his Senior Night too. Tyler was 6-months old in this photo.

Latest project

I have been needing to put some decorations up in Nathan's room.  Right now I still have a photo of the Kappa house in his room from when it was a guest room and I am pretty sure Nathan is not going to be a Kappa).  Anyway, I wasn't sure what to put up and I found a cute idea on Pinterest we could do ourselves at home (these ideas usually get me in trouble...).  Tyler was really excited to help.

The green canvas really sucked up some paint and I had to paint it again (around the footprint) so it does look better post photo.
Nathan's hand was tough to get to spread all the way out hence two of his fingers kinda running together.  Another notable is my kiddos' HUGE feet.  Tyler is wearning size 10 (toddler) and Nathan...we he doesn't often wear shoes but probably size 3 (infant).

After we did the foot and hand prints, Tyler asked to paint just about every other sentence so I had an extra canvas (actually 6 extra - I just bought the 10 pack in case I have another creative need) and painting is what he did.

As you can see it pretty much turned into a green/brown mess masterpiece.  He was very proud of it.

Daddy just couldn't resist helping and as you can imagine, Tyler wanted none of his help.

I am pretty sure we will have to do this again as Tyler has continued to request to paint...often.  I know, I know...it is my fault.  :)

Smiling with Grandma and PaPa

Tyler and Nathan are so lucky to have wonderful sets of grandparents that love them very much.

After Greg's graduation, Grandma and PaPa Francis got some good smiles out of Mr. Nathan and luckily I had the camera out.

Cuddle bug.

I love those big beautiful eyes.

Tyler wanted in on the action with daddy.  :)

Uncle Greg Graduates

Jeff's older brother, Greg, graduated with his Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.

We were excited to be able to attend his graduation.

Walking across the stage.  (These photos are always so dark.)

A graduate!

Greg with his Mom and Dad.  Greg is 6'11"!

Greg and Abbey

Jenny, Greg and Jeff.
I think this is a great sibling pic!
I am pretty sure Jenny was drooled on by Nathan!  Sorry, Jenny!

Congratulations, Greg!  We are so proud of you!

Just Hangin' Around

I love the Johnny jumper and Nathan enjoys it quite a bit too.  I can put him in it while I make dinner.  It is also perfect when Daddy walks through the door he can scoop him up.

Yes, we still have quite a bit of drool.   How is it that he is all smiles yet as soon as I get out the camera Nathan gives me this face?

Just bouncing and twisting around.

2012 Fair Parade

It is always hot for the fair parade but we never miss it...or find an excuse to do so. :)
This year was no exception.  We make it fun and tailgate before and during the parade.

Tyler loves Zach.  Zach's friend Ty got a lot of attention too.

GG feeding Nathan.

Daddy was set for the parade.

Tyler never wears hats but Zach had one on so all of a sudden it was cool.

Cousin Kasey rode in parade as a Queen contestant.  (More on that contest later.)

Tyler constantly with Zach.

Nathan finishing his bottle with Daddy.

Summer at its finest...a fudge bar with 95+ degree temperatures.

I thougth it would be much worse.  I will admit mom helped eat the fudge bar...only to help out with the melting. ;)

Fair week is a long, hard, hot week for Jeanne.  She is the best!

Wow, what a look for daddy.

Tyler gets no attention at all...

Field Trip Friday - Library

Okay, so the library may be a lame field trip, but Tyler loves the library.  Also, with the crazy heat we have had this summer it was a nice cool place to read and play.

Tyler played...

and read books.
He loves I Spy books and this photo is Tyler reading an I Spy book of letters - two of his favorite things.

Nathan laid on the floor and played.  We read some books too.

Nathan's 4 Month Checkup

Nathan went to the pediatrician for his 4-month checkup on July 19th.

Nathan was 27.5 inches long (98%) and weighed in at 17lbs 8oz. (90%).  His head circumference was off the chart!  Big brain. :)

While we were waiting I took a picture of the two of us.  Tough sometimes to get a Mommy/Nathan photo.
