Photo shoot at the Quad

We were fortunate enough to head up to Columbia for the Mizzou vs. Arkansas game the Friday after Thanksgiving.  We arrived a bit early and so we decided to go visit Tiger Plaza and the Quad.
It was a perfect day for football and some photos at some of our favorite spots.

Here is Tyler's last blog post from Tiger Plaza.

Nathan wanted to ride the tiger but had to settle for a photo in front of it. :)

Those columns, so tall and strong with two of God's most wonderful creations dressed in black and gold makes my heart so happy!   It is so fun that I get to share a place I grew up admiring and then fell in love with while attending Mizzou.

I was pretty bundled up while my boys look like they are enjoying a nice fall afternoon.

I love how little Nathan looks here with Tyler's old jacket that is too big and me holding his hand.  Oh, and that innocent face...we all know it isn't so innocent. :)

Tyler was pouting because he wanted to play football.

Melt my heart!

Love this place and love this kid!

We had a great time tramp, tramp, tramping around the columns and then went to cheer on 'ole Mizzou.  The Tigers didn't disappoint!  The victory over Arkansas propelled the Tigers into the SEC Championship game in Atlanta...where we did not fare as well but it was still another great season!

Tyler's School Halloween Party

Halloween 2014 fell on a Friday so I was able to attend Tyler's Halloween party at Little Rascals.  It was a lot of fun.  Thanks to Aunt Susan for watching Nathan and Grant.

Tyler was at the table with the ladies.
Blue Power Ranger, Cinderella, a bumble bee and Tinkerbell.

The kids played a few games...

This one was like musical chairs but with Halloween picture stations.  A card was drawn and whoever was at the station with that Halloween picture had to sit down.

The kids had a costume parade to show off their costumes to the other classes.  It was really cute.

They were a little hyped up on sugar...

After the costume parade, it was back to their class to have fun at several stations.

Bobbing for apples was a hit.  I am pretty sure the only way the kids were successful with this one was by biting the stems.

Ms. Pam helped the kids make white chocolate covered marshmallow ghosts.  I am pretty sure most ghosts had lots of eyes aka chocolate chips.

They played ball toss (aka beer pong - ha) with eye ball ping pong balls.

There was a Halloween craft table.

Face painting.

Pretty proud of his bat.

Pin the nose on Frankenstein.

Tyler was excited I was able to come to his party with him.  They made cute monster containers to take home all their goodies in earlier in the week.

I should have taken a photo of the treats Tyler gave out.  They were surgical gloves filled with candy.  Tyler filled each of the fingers with smarties and then the hand part with other candy.  We then put a spider ring on one of the fingers.  They turned out really cute.  Thanks, Pinterest! :)

Halloween 2014

Yes, I know it is almost Christmas and I am just now only posting about Halloween.  It has been a busy couple of months...

Hard to believe it was Grant's first Halloween.  He was pretty happy about it and was showing off his pearly whites after a diaper change.

Classic.
Tyler is dancing with excitement, Nathan crying (to give him a break, he didn't feel good), and Grant looks a bit overwhelmed by it all.

Thankfully, Grant's costume was also his PJs because he was tuckered out.  I went pretty chill and reused Halloween hand me downs from Tyler's 2nd Halloween.

Just one more of pitiful Nathan.  We did give him some medicine and before the night was over he was able to enjoy some trick-or-treating.

Halloween 2014

This was our mantle and what is usually a mirror.  It turned into a Halloween artwork center.  Tyler loves it and thinks it should always look like this!

Proof that Spider-man did make it out to trick or treat.
