iPhone photo catchup: Part 2

Part 2 of my catch up:

"Put 'em up"

I am so in love with this little guy!

I got Grant's name hung up in his room.  I should have taken a photo of it against his crib or something to give it a sense of scale.  Secret is that I made this out of cardboard and scrapbook paper - super easy and inexpensive!

Tyler had a meltdown in Grant's room on a Friday afternoon once his friend Owen and Owen's sister and mommy left.  Do you think it was nap time? ;)
We had a wonderful play date with Owen, Amelia and Heather.  We are looking forward to the next one.

Playing Wii sports at Grandma's.

Tyler was having a special day with mom and Grant and the one place he wanted to go - the LIBRARY!  I love it, but seriously, do you think the child could find another book topic other than Thomas.

It has been cold, cold, cold this winter.
I am pretty sure the suburban's temperature sensor goes into shock after leaving the garage.

Bath time with dad.

Birthday hugs for dad!

I am in love with all of Grant's faces.  His little personality is so much fun.

Stocked up with 20+ servings of breast milk for Grant as I am easing back into a full schedule of work.

Tummy time encouragement.
I promise this was not staged.  Are they not the most precious brothers?  I am pretty sure I should carry this photo with me and look at it when they are all fighting. ;)

We got a large box from our monthly Amazon shipment and rather than throw it away, the boys had fun coloring it with markers.

Grant was just chillin' starting at himself in mirror.

Nathan loves to color lately and is getting much better at knowing his colors.  His favorite color is blue but his favorite color to say is "yell-low."

Nathan told me he had to go potty the other day after lunch so we went in and sat on his little potty but no luck (that time).  When I said we needed to put his pants back on he said "no pants...boots" and put his snow boots on.  I thought it was too funny so rather than correct him I took a picture and figured I would let him go for a few minutes while I finished cleaning up from lunch.  He was going to go down for a nap in a matter of minutes anyway so I figured I would just put a diaper on him then.

Well...

I waited too long as he pooped on the kitchen floor.  Tyler was quick to alert me tattle on his brother.  Nathan stomped through it with his boots so those went immediately into the wash and I am thankful that Tyler told me so quickly so I could avoid Nathan stomping poop into EVERY grout line in the kitchen.  Oh, the joys of motherhood!

Speaking of my little love, Nathan, this was him throwing a fit at Target this morning because I wouldn't buy him a new basketball.  He was crying and saying "I need.  I need."  How many basketballs does an almost 2 year old need?  I sent this photo Jeff and he got a big kick out of it.

I think I have officially caught up on iPhone photos.  Now, if only I could catch up on the rest of the photos that I have to post.

New Year's Day at the park

Our New Year's Eve plans included going out to dinner at Ernesto's and coming home to play Candy Land with Tyler and Nathan.  Pretty exciting stuff!  I will note that all three boys had mild colds so we were happy to play and cuddle at home.

We thought we would start off 2014 with some time outdoors since it wasn't too cold.

Tyler was pretty excited to get out of the house.

Why do my boys never look at me for a picture?

Grant kept me warm.
(Yes, he is still sporting Christmas PJs on New Year's Day).

Slide races.

It amazes me how big and independent this almost 2 year old is.

Leaving the park = slushes at Sonic (aka bribery to encourage no tears).
We may have to reduce our Sonic trips though as we drove by on our way home from the new baby sitters house on Monday and Nathan yells from the back seat "susheees peeease!"  ;)

Mizzou Basketball with Nathan

Jeff and I took Nathan to Columbia this past weekend to watch Mizzou play Kentucky.  We didn't let the icy conditions in Columbia stop us although we did have a bit of a scare on the roads, but we arrived to the game unscathed.

It was a special day for Nathan to have ALL of mom and dad's attention which is rare for this middle child.  He was SO excited.  Thanks to my mom for watching Tyler and Grant AND for the tickets to the game.  We had great seats!

Nathan LOVES basketball.

He was intensely watching the warm-up.

Dancing during the timeout.
Of course, as soon as I turned on the video he calmed down. Still fun.

Jeff had to explain to Nathan that he couldn't go down and "shoot."  Nathan kept saying "I shoot" throughout the game and at one point started walking down the row to get out and we assume he had plans to head down to the court.  I am not kidding when I say the child wakes up ready to play basketball.

I love these two!

Nathan was VERY well behaved during the game but I was prepared with several special snacks including his absolute favorite - fruit snacks!

Yum!

Jeff and I both put our hands on our head after a bad play or bad call (okay, it might have happened on several occasions).  Well, Nathan caught on and was doing the same thing. It was too cute!

Nathan kept a constant eye on Truman too and knew where he was at all times.  We were hoping he would come in our section and we could grab a photo with him but were not so lucky.

Nathan fell asleep on Jeff during the last 4 minutes of the game (only the most exciting part!) so if you ask him if the Tigers won he says "yeah."  We had such a great time and Nathan was such a wonderful boy that we didn't want to break it to him that our Tigers missed way too many free throws (hence the hands on the head) and lost 84-79.

We also enjoyed stopping to visit with the Busch family before heading home.  It was wonderful to see them before they become a family of 4 at the end of the month!  It was a great day (other than the loss)!

Hopefully they can pull off a win at Florida (#3) tonight!

iPhone photo catchup: Part 1

It is time for iPhone photo clean out!

While I was in the hospital with Grant we decided that it was best for everyone for Jeff to stay at home.  He would sleep better and I had nurses to help me if I needed anything.  Plus, he was only 5 minutes away.  I would send Jeff photos just to make sure he didn't miss his baby too much overnight!  ;)

Hard to believe this was just a few months ago.  Grant has changed so much already!

At 3am this is how I feel too Grant!  Thankfully, the 3am wakeup calls are VERY rare now.

Then it was home sweet home and when dad went back to work we sent lots of photos to him too.

Grant loves to have his LARGE hands up by his face.

Mom, seriously?

Tyler's 3D glasses from the holiday parade.

Tyler got a trophy at the dentist for having no cavities and being a good patient.  He took it everywhere with him for the 48 hours after this appointment: to school, next to him at the dinner table, on his nightstand by his bed. EVERYWHERE!
I am pretty sure this trophy has made him excited to brush his teeth and for his next trip to the dentist.  It has also made Nathan excited to brush his teeth and get a trophy like Tyler's.  Whatever works!

I cleaned old wine bottles for Jeff to bottle the wine that he made earlier in October/November.  It is really pretty good.  After we broke down the number of bottles he made and total costs it came to $0.42/bottle!  Talk about frugal!  I love it!

Post bath time cuddles.

Watching my big brothers play while chilling in the bean bag (with a blanket over it).

Handsome feller.

Puzzles together.

Snowman shirts made for the boys and Hadley (the one with the ruffle edge).

Tyler enjoying Santa's Magical Kingdom from the backseat.  Thanks to Grandma and Popo Francis for taking us!

The boys enjoying their new easel from Kyle, Maggie and Hadley!

All the boys in the house had colds after the new year so there was a lot of time spent in jammies. They were still smiley though.

See you soon with iPhone catch up: part 2!

Cookie making helpers

I was making cookies for Grant's baptism party (a post on his baptism coming soon) and these two were my "helpers."

They were happy to assist with the cleaning.
Notice the knot on Nathan's forehead...will the child ever NOT have a bruise/bump on his head?

My first thought looking at this photo was "do they make a mixer with three beaters for my three boys?"

I don't think this guy is giving his up.

Neither is Nathan.

My next invention - a mixer with three+ beaters! ;)
